About the client

Jerónimo Martins is a multinational food distribution group with more than 200 years of history, operating in Portugal, Poland and Colombia through brands such as Pingo Doce, Biedronka and Ara.

Challenge

Advance the use of test management and automation for SAP ECC and Fiori, since other web solutions already had an established flow for managing and executing manual and automated tests.

Solution

Establish a robust test automation strategy for the SAP context using Robot Framework, Azure DevOps and Xray, so the SAP testing flow became standardized and equivalent to the model already adopted for web testing, with consistency, traceability and continuous execution in CI/CD.

Result

A Python library was developed integrating Xray, Robot Framework and Azure DevOps, automating test execution and updates in CI/CD. A process that was manual and time consuming now runs in minutes, reducing effort and increasing traceability.
